Since I seem to be spending the majority of my time on social media sites posting stuff, I thought I’d link those posts here on my personal site as well… Good article on problem solving various types of “injuries.”

This is a followup to my last article (Training Related Injuries – Is it Serious, or [...]
I saw my doctor yesterday, in a follow-up to check out the status of my lungs after getting whooping cough. I am officially on the mend. My lungs are almost back to normal (in terms of inflammation and capacity). My doctor suggested a few more days of recovery (no going “balls-to-the-wall” in training). So nothing [...]
In some ways it seems silly and pretentious to write all this out, but given the nature of what a personal blog is I’m going to try and get through it…
First off some direction through definition:
Expanding: 1. To increase the size, volume, quantity, or scope of; enlarge: expanded her store by adding a [...]
In keeping with past years, I was looking for a “pithy” catchall phrase, or sentence, to capture the spirit of this year’s driving themes… So far, I haven’t found anything better than this, from last year:

Normally on Thursday morning I teach a semi-private MMA class… My trainees are out for the day, so I “stole” the time and had a fantastic yoga WO. Joint mobility, bunches of hand (arm) balances, core training, modified Sun Salutation, some Wu Shu hip and leg work… Feeling both wiped out and invigorated at the [...]
I got a great compliment on my yoga class at Gold’s Gym Loveland today. One of the participants, Robert, told me it was the best class he’d EVER been to! Yikes! I will try not to get a big head about it… Wait till he sees what I’ve got in store for them in the [...]
For a couple of weeks now, I’ve been working on getting my arm balances back into shape… Hitting one-legged crow consistently now, along with crow pose… And I hit my first Planche today! It wasn’t the prettiest thing, but that will come with practice! Onwards and upwards!
Busy, busy, busy… There just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day. My “nefarious” plan to update this blog once a week has fallen by the wayside due to an increase in training clientele, teaching a women’s self-protection class, prepping for teaching my first nutrition seminar, prepping study material for my first (training) [...]
